The examination shall comprise two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.
** Both question paper will be of the objective type(multiple questions).
** The question paper will be set in both language Hindi and English However, question relating to English language Comprehension Skills of class X level will be tested through passage from English language without providing Hindi Translations thereof in question paper.
The written exam consists of following papers:
Paper A( One Indian language to be selected by the candidate from the language included in Eighth schedule of Constitution ) (300 marks)
Paper B English (300 marks)
Paper on Indian Language and English will be of qualifying level i.e. of matriculation or equal standard.

Paper 3: general studies 2
(Governance, Constitution, Polity, social Justice And International Relations) (250 marks)

(Technology, Economics Development, Bio –diversity, Environment, Security
And Disaster management). (250 marks)
Paper 5 : general studies 4
(Ethics, Integrity And Aptitude) (250 marks)
Paper 6 : Optional Subject – 1 (250 marks)
Paper 7 : Optional Subject – 2 (250 marks)
Sub total (Written Test) : (1750 marks)
Personality Test: ( 275 marks)
Grand total: (2025 marks)
Literature of any one of the following languages: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and English.
The question papers for the examination will be of conventional (essay) type. Each paper will be of three hours duration. The question papers (other than the literature of language papers) will be set in Hindi and English only.
